þ If your sound card is BOTH SoundBlaster and Windows Sound System compatible such as the Ensoniq Soundscape, Reveal sound cards, and lots of others, we recommend that you use one of the Windows Sound System drivers. Most likely, mixer support will be present only in Windows Sound System mode. You may need to specifically select Windows Sound System mode using a utility provided with your sound card. Consult your sound card manual for more information. If you decide to use one of the SoundBlaster drivers, see next note below. þ If your sound card isn't a true SoundBlaster but it is SoundBlaster compatible and you select one of the SoundBlaster drivers, the mixer device may not work. (Some SoundBlaster compatible cards have a unique mixer.) If this is the case, you'll need to use the mixer program that came with your sound card for adjusting volume levels. (Windows 95 users can use the Multimedia / Volume Control program.) Before executing SuperSonic, be sure to set recording volume levels for the Cd, External, and Microphone channels at their maximum setting so that SuperSonic can record/monitor these audio sources. Also, be sure to select one or more of these channels for recording mode. (Windows 95 users can run the Volume Control program located in the Multimedia menu. Select Properties from the Options menu. Select Adjust Volume for Recording and press OK. Click on Select for the Cd, External, and Microphone channels and set their levels at maximum.) þ Windows 3.x users must exit Windows before running SuperSonic. þ Windows 95 users, please note: You shouldn't experience any problems when executing SuperSonic from Windows 95. However, if you do, try restarting your computer in DOS mode and then executing SuperSonic. This may help you isolate the problem. þ SuperSonic has context sensitive help! Press and HOLD DOWN the right mouse button on any button/slider/display and detailed information will display until you RELEASE the right mouse button. þ All of SuperSonic's support programs also include context sensitive help. Press F1 at any time and you'll get detailed information about the currently selected option. þ Before using the disc jockey system, we highly recommend that you read sections "4-0 Setting Up Hardware", "7-9 Disc Jockey" and "7-10 Disc Jockey Manual Switcher" of the manual. Please also consult the manual for additional information about using SuperSonic and its many features. That's all!
